Welcome to our new GPCPCS Implementation and Support Managers

I am Chris Kerry, one of the two GP Referral to CPCS Implementation & Support Managers and my exciting new role is to provide first line support to pharmacy contractors and practices.

I am a registered Pharmacy Technician and some of you may remember me as a Pharmacy Commissioning Manager with NHS England until Summer 2021, when I retired my NHS lanyard after 36+ years’ service. I have previously worked at Chesterfield Royal Hospital and as Snr technician at Kingsmill. I joined the PCT in 2000 as a prescribing support tech before moving into a role where I managed a portfolio of pharmacy commissioned services. I moved into pharmacy contracting in 2013.

I am focussed on service delivery and maintenance to benefit patients and contractors. I am very much a ‘data’ person and am enthusiastically looking forward to seeing the number of GP referrals to CPCS in Derbyshire increase. I appreciate the need for strong working relationships and won’t hesitate to contact you with GP referral to CPCS updates, progress and news!

I predominantly cover the north of the county and am currently working with 5 GP practices in 4 PCNs to implement GP referrals and looking forward to working with contractors in the other PCNs soon.

Outside of work I enjoy holidays in the sun and playing badminton. I’m very efficient and skilful at boarding a plane however not so at badminton!

My working days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week but I do have flexibility on other days too. If anyone wants to contact me, I’d be very pleased to hear from you. Here are my contact details:
