Opportunity for Pharmacies and Pharmacist Independent Prescribers

NHS England has funded a project to test the potential to use community pharmacists independent prescribers to support general practice in the provision of care for patients with long term conditions, to support patients with urgent care requirements and residents in nursing homes in some pilot sites.

The project team are trying to establish the numbers of community pharmacist independent prescribers in the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area, as well as to establish whether they may be interested in becoming involved in the project.
