Introducing our new Chief Officer – Tania Cork
Tania has had a career in pharmacy spanning over 25 years and has held positions as community pharmacist manager, Superintendent, GP practice pharmacist, PCT clinical governance lead and academic pharmacist at Keele.
As well as being our new Chief Officer here in Derbyshire Tania is also head of pharmacy technician training at Stoke on College, and CEO of North Staffs & Stoke Local Pharmaceutical Committee.
Tania has a passion for supporting and promoting community pharmacy to stakeholders to lead to the development of many services within community pharmacy. Tania has also dedicated her career in educating and supporting upcoming pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Tania’s specialist interests lay in Health Literacy and how pharmacy can use health literacy intervention to improve patient’s adherence. Tania continues to practice as a pharmacist in the local area of Stoke and Staffordshire, a role which fuels Tania’s interest in health literacy and patient participation in their health, especially those in disadvantaged groups. Tania is an expert in the field of Health Literacy and pharmacy, and a member of the Health Literacy UK (HLUK) group.
