DERBY CITY COUNCIL REVEALS COMMISSIONING PLANS FOR APRIL 2017

Derby City Council is seeking to commission a range of local primary health care services across the City. From April 2017 the council would like providers to deliver:

  • Health Checks
  • Needle Exchange
  • Oral Emergency Contraception
  • Supervised Consumption (Methadone & Buprenorphine)

An engagement event was held for contractors on 12th May, covering the plans as well as arrangements for procurement. The presentation slides from the event are available here. They cover

  • an overview of delivery to date of the current locally commissioned primary health care services
  • salient details of the service specifications for each required service
  • indicative timescales for the procurement process – which will use the Council’s e-procurement tool – Due North.

Contractors wishing to provide services in Derby from April 2017 should watch out for the release of the Invitation To Tender (ITT) which will appear on the East Midlands Tenders portal www.eastmidstenders.org around 1st June 2016
