eRD Electronic Repeat dispensing

The content on Electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD) webpage of the PSNC website has now been fully updated (August 2022).

Despite the eRD service having been operational for several years, its use by general practice is still relatively low, with 15% of GP surgeries now estimated to be using eRD. This is despite the significant efforts of contractors, LPCs and the NHS with regards to promoting and supporting eRD’s use.

PSNC’s updated eRD webpage explains how the eRD process works and other resources for pharmacy and general practice teams. The webpage also includes resources to support the promotion of eRD to patients, a list of frequently asked questions about eRD and links to external resources on the service.
